You can go to the library's website.
Click on the link for "Library Guides by Subject." Then click the link for "Religion" and under that the link for the "Christianity" Lib Guide.
Once there, two databases may prove useful.
One is ProQuest Religion. A search of the terms "Sub-Saharan Africa" and "Christianity" (type them without quotes) will yield some good results.
You can also run the same search on the Humanities International Complete database.
If you would like a print reference source, the multivolume Encyclopedia of Christianity is helpful as well. However, there is no entry for "Sub-Saharan" Africa, but you can search it by countries. For example, there is an entry for Congo.
