Secondly, the use of copyrighted materials in conference presentations is GENERALLY considered fair use, although there are some restrictions, primarily in the area of distribution. If one makes handouts to distribute or if the conference sponsor will be including presentations in print or online forms, etc., copyrighted materials should either be removed from distribution copies or permission to use should be sought from the copyright holders.
