A lexicon is similar to dictionaries in that it provides definitions and meanings of words. In addition, it provides grammatical and structural information about the words of a language. Students in religion courses and GSTR 310 find the Hebrew and Greek Lexicons beneficial in understanding the meanings of Old and New Testament scriptures and thoughts.
To locate lexicons in the library use the word "lexicon" along with a language, i.e. "Greek Lexicon." Most of the lexical aids will be found in the 480 call ranges, as this is the section for language. Hewbrew and Greek lexicons are also located in the 200s with the other resources for the Bible and Christianity.
Some resources that may be immediately beneficial are these Greek lexicons, 225.3 S754t and 483 L71g9, and these Hewbrew Lexicon 221.3 H733c and 492.4 B877h.
