Special Collections & Archives is located on the lower level of Hutchins Library.  Special Collections & Archives have different hours of operation than the main library. Please consult the up-to-date schedule, linked to below, before making a special trip to the library just to visit Special Collections.

Special Collections matierals cannot be checked out, but sometimes there are duplicate copies on the third floor of the library which can be checked out.

Students, faculty, alumni, and visitors are required to register at the Special Collections & Archives reception desk.  Registration includes contact information and a description of the research topic or information needed.  Special Collections & Archives materials will be brought to the Reading Room to be used in consulation with and under supervision of one of the college archivists.

Occasionally, some books and other materials from Special Collections & Archives can be put on reserve in order to allow a patron access to the materials when the Special Collections & Archives Dept is closed.
