Databases are best searched by using key words.
Example: If your question is, "How did Appalachians experience education in the early 1900s?" you may want to use key words such as "Appalachia," "Education," and "Early 20th Century."
The best way to have a successful search is to consider a broad range of key words. By changing the key words just a little bit such as using both "education" and "learning" you will be able to change your search and possibly include more articles.

See video below for more in depth suggestions for searching our databases.
